The Masters Leaderboard – One Day Away From the Final Round

We’re just one day away from the final round of The Masters, the first major of 2025. And there’s no shortage of storylines to follow at Augusta National. The one-time champion Justin Rose holds a two-shot lead, but there are plenty of golfers in the hunt for a green jacket. Bryson DeChambeau is lurking, as well as Rory McIlroy, who is looking to complete a career grand slam.

The Northern Irishman is playing some outstanding golf. He bombs a drive over the corner at the par-four 13th, then hits a delicious wedge from 87 yards that spins towards the cup and lands just inside it. Two-putt, birdie, 13 under.

Rose has been playing smart golf all week at Augusta. He takes a conservative approach to the deceptively difficult 16th, opting for a lay-up instead of trying to reach the green in two. But he commits a cardinal sin by overly flirting with Rae’s Creek and dumps his third shot in the water. He eventually pitches on, two-putts and shoots a 66.

Ludvig Aberg and Corey Conners are tied for second at four under, with Scottie Scheffler and the defending champion all three shots back. It’s not far from a four-way tie, and it could be very exciting on the back nine on Sunday.
